Printable Build A Popsicle Craft
Here’s a fun frozen treat craft idea to try this summer!
Kids can build their own popsicle by coloring the pieces, cutting them out, and gluing everything together.
You only need a few basic supplies: crayons or markers, scissors, and a glue stick. You can also glue the pieces onto a sheet of construction paper to make the craft easier to assemble.
This activity works well for preschool or kindergarten and gives kids a fun way to get some extra scissor practice during the summer months.
The printable template needed to make this craft is available in my Etsy shop. Grab it below, or keep reading to see how it’s assembled.

How to Build Your Own Popsicle

Supplies Needed
- Popsicle craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color all of the popsicle pieces with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
You can choose colors for your favorite popsicle flavor and make the topping as colorful as you’d like!
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Next, cut out all of the pieces.
Step 3: Add the popsicle stick
Glue the stick behind the bottom of the popsicle.
If you’re using a background, you can glue the stick directly onto the paper first and then layer the popsicle over it. Either way works!

Step 4: Finish your popsicle
Glue the dripping topping onto the top of the popsicle.
Then, glue the two small rounded pieces onto the front.

Now your popsicle is finished!
