How to Build Your Own Astronaut

Supplies Needed
- Rocket ship craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color the rocket ship pieces with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
You can use the colors shown here or come up with your own color combination.
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Next, cut out all of the pieces.
Don’t worry about cutting perfectly on the lines.
It’s completely fine if there’s a small border around the edges.
Step 3: Add the back pieces
Glue the fins behind each side of the rocket ship.
Then, glue the flames behind the bottom.
If you’re using a background, you can glue these pieces directly onto the paper first (just line them up first) and then layer the rocket body over them. Either way works!

Step 4: Add the pointed piece
Glue the pointed piece onto the top of the rocket ship.

Step 5: Finish your rocket ship
Glue the round window onto the front of the rocket.
Now your rocket ship is ready to blast off!
