How to Build Your Own Planet Earth

Supplies Needed
- Planet Earth craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color the circle blue for the water and the land pieces green.
Or, you can choose completely different colors for your planet!
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Next, cut out the circle and all four land pieces.
Don’t worry about cutting perfectly on the lines.
It’s completely fine if there’s a small border around the edges.
Step 3: Start with the circle
If you’re using a background, center the circle on the page and glue it down.

Step 4: Add the first land pieces
Glue the largest land piece onto the upper-left side of the circle. This piece represents North America.
Then, add the long piece underneath it. This is South America.

Step 5: Finish your planet Earth
Glue the other large land piece onto the right side of the circle. This piece combines Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Then, add the smallest piece near the top. This represents Greenland.

Now your planet Earth is finished!
