Printable Build an Apple Tree Craft
Apple picking season is a fun way to celebrate the transition from summer into fall!
With this cut-and-paste activity, kids can color the pieces, cut them out, and build an apple tree of their own.
This is a great one to have ready for Johnny Appleseed units, National Apple Month in September, or fall harvest themes in preschool or kindergarten.

How to Build Your Own Apple Tree

Supplies Needed
- Apple tree craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color the tree trunk, treetop, and apples with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
Apples come in shades of red, green, and yellow, or you can choose any colors you like.
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Use the dashed lines as a guide while cutting out the pieces. It’s completely fine if this leaves a white border.
Step 3: Build the tree
If you’re using a background, glue the tree trunk onto the paper first. Then, glue the treetop over the branches.
If you’re not using a background, glue the treetop onto the front of the branches.

Step 4: Add the apples
Glue the three apples onto the treetop to finish your apple tree.
Arrange them however you like to create your own apple tree.
