How to Build Your Own Stegosaurus

Supplies Needed
- Stegosaurus craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color all of the pieces however you’d like.
Stegosauruses are often shown as green, brown, or gray, but you can use any colors you like.
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Cut out all the pieces.
If the tiny tail spikes feel too tricky to cut out, you can leave them off. It will still look like a stegosaurus with all the back plates.
Step 3: Glue the back pieces first
Start by gluing the back plates to the back of the main body piece.
Next, glue the two legs that will be hidden behind the body to the back. Leave just a little bit of each foot peeking out at the bottom.
If you’re using the tail spikes, glue them to the back of the tail as well.

Step 4: Finish assembling
If you’re using a background, glue what you have so far onto the paper now.
Then, finish assembling by gluing the remaining two legs on top.
