How to Build Your Own Shark

Supplies Needed

  • Shark craft template
  • Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • White copy paper or construction paper (optional)

Step 1: Color

Color all of the pieces however you’d like.

Most sharks are gray, blue-gray, brown, or tan on top with a lighter or white underside, depending on the species.

Step 2: Cut out the pieces

Cut out the main shark body, tail fin, top fin, side fin, and eye.

Step 3: Glue the back pieces first

Start by gluing the top fin and tail fin to the back of the main shark piece.

Once you’ve done that, if you’re using a background, you can glue what you have so far to your paper!

Step 4: Finish your shark

Glue the side fin and eye onto the front of the shark to finish your craft.
