How to Build Your Own Pumpkin
Supplies Needed
- Pumpkin craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color the pumpkin pieces and stem with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
You can use traditional orange and brown or choose completely different colors to create your own pumpkin.
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Next, cut out all of the pieces.
Don’t worry about cutting perfectly on the lines.
It’s completely fine if there’s a small border around the edges.
Step 3: Add the first pumpkin piece
If you’re using a background, glue down the pumpkin piece with two sections first..
If yours will be a standalone pumpkin, just set this piece aside for now.
Step 4: Glue the stem
Next, glue the stem behind the top of the remaining piece.
It’s easier to line everything up this way than it is to glue the stem directly onto the background first.
Step 5: Finish your pumpkin
Glue the piece with the stem on top of the first pumpkin piece.
Once everything is lined up, your pumpkin is finished!
