How to Build Your Own Caterpillar

Supplies Needed
- Caterpillar craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color all of the caterpillar pieces with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
Caterpillars can be green, yellow, brown, black, or even brightly colored, so choose any colors you’d like!
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Next, cut out all of the pieces.
Step 3: Start with the back body piece
Start with the back body piece that has three round sections.
If you’re using a background, glue it onto the paper.

Step 4: Add the other body piece
Glue the body piece with four round sections onto the first piece, overlapping the ends slightly.

Step 5: Add the head
Glue the caterpillar’s head onto the front of the body so it overlaps the first round section.
Then, glue the two eyes onto the caterpillar’s face.

Now your caterpillar is finished!
