How to Build Your Own Butterfly

Supplies Needed
- Butterfly craft template
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- White copy paper or construction paper (optional)
Step 1: Color the pieces
Color all of the butterfly pieces with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
Butterflies come in many different colors and patterns, so you can make yours as colorful as you’d like!
Step 2: Cut out the pieces
Next, cut out all three pieces.
Don’t worry about cutting perfectly on the lines.
It’s completely fine if there’s a small border around the edges.
Step 3: Add the body
Glue the butterfly’s body down the center of the wings.
If you’re using a background, you can glue the wings onto the paper first and then layer the body over them.

Step 4: Finish your butterfly
Glue the antenna piece above the body, lining up the large circle with the top of the body.

Now your butterfly is finished!
